In all seriousness I would like an answer. Is it because QE1 & QE2?

The US is in a depresssion.
The jobless rate is around 20%.
People are broke and or homeless.
Gas is creeping to $4.00 - $5.00 a gallon.
The housing market is still struggling.
Inflation is inching higher each day.
Food prices are going higher each week.
There is an entire MIddle Eastern revolution going on.
Unions are under attack in the USA, yet........

the good ole stock market doesnt miss a beat and keeps climbing higher and higher every week! Simply amazing. To me this is one MEGA BUBBLE just waiting to go Kaploom!

The wizards behind the curtain on Wall Street... Can't invest in the housing market... Low and no interest sitting in a bank account... So put it in the stock market, the wizards are waiting for it, they pull out at the last minute and the public will be left holding the empty bag.

Good timing. Better dump them now than in five years from now. Housing market will be in dipshit when the gov pulls the plug on Fannie & Freddie. Without government housing subsidies, market will be dead.

QE 1 and 2 have a lot to do with it. Probably everything to do with it. When the money runs out in June, there should be a big dip just like last time

I agree thats why the market is rising. It will until mid year.....end of QE2......if no QE3.......stay away from the fan.
The USA is dead broke. All they have is a massive printing press, and "reserve currency" left.
Did you notice that during this latest global unrest the dollar is dropping? Know why?
The world is losing confidence in the green back. It will get worse......much much worse.
America had a great run but has blown it.

My position is this.
Core was 15% in gold/silver/platinum......added a bit and thinking of more.
Uranium and REE(Rare earths) as a medium play. Long term looks great with many gyrations along the road.

It is all about your situation though.

Mine is to ensure I am protected from inflation. Deflation suits me fine.
Yours may be different.

Educate yourself on your situation.....we are all in a different spot.

Where do you invest in uranium & rare Earths at?

CCJ the big name in the uranium mining world....

rare earths molycorp MCP IPO'd recently and rocketed....the rare earths gonna be a really crazy market as the chinese undercut prices and now they are now hoarding it to themselves in an attempt to hold the keys to manufacturing higher value electronics domestically...........and now the western mines are reopening (supply won't come online for years) as its now economically feasible to do so with the restricted chinese supply.....and may have some domestic support from government if china continues to hoard play its commie games.....basically my point is the market isn't for the faint of heart gonna be some wild volatility...and probably best for the little guy to leave it alone....

BB's already said he will issue QE3 if need be. Just a matter of when.....Its gotten to the point the market is comical now........Regardless of world events, the market always bounces right on back in a few days now.....just keep being propped on up.

Could it be the markets are so propped up because we live in a world totally awash with capital. Look how many billionaires and multi millionaires there are now globally compared to 10 years ago. Look how much $ has been put into 401ks and pension funds in the last 10 years.

While the stock market and economy in general have been sluggish the last 8-9 years, there has been an explosion in personal wealth. With all of this $ needing a place to park it seems like the market will be able to be propped possibly....
